April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing guitar and taking piano classes, which spurred her interest in writing songs. April Lockhart composed her first song, Different at age of twelve. When she was 14 April committed a large amount of time composing song ideas and practicing her music. The songwriting began with her father on the streets of NY and LA within a short time. April also began to integrate various other topics relevant to the song, such as the Take my Hand song for some of her friends, like peer-pressure problems and teenage suicide. Lockhart is a partner at top clean-skin brand Ilia and is also an influencer in the lifestyle industry with her own growing fan base. She has a disability that is part of her personality, but it is not the whole picture. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on her Instagram account, but she doesn't place it in the spotlight of the account. The message is? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and mental identities don't always reflect what they seem.
