Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her lead roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performance in films. Her popularity is shared by both Canadian and American TV. Emily first became interested when she saw her sister Katie working on a film. When she realized her love in acting Emily decided to enroll in acting classes and started to audition. She was initially cast in commercials for a few minutes before being offered a role on the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Scared of Darkness? which featured her only in one scene, without any dialogue. The first time she was seen on screen was around the age of 15 when she got a role on the show on WB's Glory Days as a regular. Emily's character was noticed by Greg Berlanti even though the show came to an end after just nine seasons. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular on Everwood. Emily was also a ballet dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her among the best actresses below the age of twenty. The Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her as top 51.
